Angeline Hsu is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with Claremont Counseling and Support Center under the supervision of Kari Halko-Weekes, PhD., who is a licensed psychologist.
Education and Training
Angeline earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Fullerton with a major in Business Management. While completing her clinical training at Saddleback Church Counseling, she worked with individuals who were experiencing various emotional health concerns.
Before changing her career path, Angeline had worked in international trade and retail eCommerce business for 10 years after college. During her clinical training at Saddleback Church Counseling, she worked with individuals, age 18 to 67, with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, infidelity, eating disorders, and trauma.
Angeline believes in and operates from the humanistic view of growth: like a seed, every client already possesses what it takes to thrive. With an encouraging, nurturing environment, evident growth is expected. Techniques that are frequently utilized include those from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused theories. Because of her personal bi-cultural experience, she enjoys working with clients who are trying to navigate concerns around identity formation, life stage adjustment, and acculturation issues. Angeline is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
