Erin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Claremont Counseling and Support Center.
Education and Training
Erin received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, an accredited institution. She completed her clinical training with a non-profit school management organization, where she worked with children and their families in dealing with depression, bullying, and anxiety. Erin completed her undergraduate degree at Occidental College with a major in Psychology.
Erin completed her clinical practicum with Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) charter schools where she got experience working with children aged 11-18 years old, as well as their families, through a systemic theoretical perspective. She also worked at the Institute for Girls’ Development in Pasadena as a group therapist and workshop facilitator. She finished up her internship with Claremont Counseling and Support Center, reaching 3,000 supervised hours towards becoming a Licensed MFT, as well as passing the two licensing exams, under the supervision of Kari-Halko-Weekes, PSY 22121.
Erin has specialized training in working with groups, children, adolescents, college-aged students, and families, and has interest in working with couples. She was trained in diversity, and is open to working with people of varying cultures and backgrounds. Erin was also trained in a systemic perspective, in which the family is viewed as a system, and these family relationships are an important factor in psychological health. She hopes to provide her clients with the tools to carry growth and positivity over to their family and personal lives.
