Education and Training
Wendy received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College. She received her undergraduate degree from California State University, Los Angeles with her major being Sociology. Wendy completed her clinical training at Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, where she worked with individuals (children and adolescents) and families dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, communication or adjustment problems, substance use, or trauma (complex trauma).
Wendy has experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, or a history of trauma (complex trauma). She works in collaboration with her clients to help them develop attainable and realistic goals, which are tailored to each client. Wendy is culturally sensitive, taking the time to incorporate the client’s cultural background into their treatment, which she believes is the foundation of an individual’s world. Her goal is to help her clients gain insight and self-awareness so that they can gain the tools to live prosperous lives.
Wendy enjoys helping her clients, believing that all individuals are resilient, which will allow them to flourish in their lives. She enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her dogs. She also enjoys engaging in self-care activities such as hiking and spending time with family and friends.
