Jared is
Education and Training Jared received a dual master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Counseling from Loma Linda University. He also received a Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certificate during his time there. Jared completed his clinical training with the City of Chino Human Services. While there, he worked with students ranging from grade school up through high school, as well as seeing individuals, couples, and families at the clinic. He was also able to help Dr. Kari Halko-Weekes with mandatory group classes for students trying to get back on track with their education. His focus is looking at individuals holistically and as part of a larger network while helping them express themselves authentically within that network.
Specialties Jared has been able to experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, substance issues, depression, marital conflict, grief, and personal development. He is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential and move past any blocks that they may have to the life they want. He believes that everyone is individual but we all have similar needs and desires for authenticity and meaningful relationships. Working off of these truths, he then works with clients to understand themselves and any self-limiting beliefs they may have while working towards a positive goal of being content with their life situation and trajectory.
Personal comments I am passionate about justice for all and the value of every human being. I enjoy coaching sports as I was originally trained as a PE teacher and staying active is one of my core habits for staying mentally and physically fit. I am blessed with a strong support network of friends and family, and derive a lot of meaning from helping others. Some books that I think everyone should read: The Autobiography of Malcolm X, The Four Agreements, The Myth of Normal, Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, and The First Law Trilogy.
